About Us
Save Our Pakistan started because I was tired of scrolling through the news and feeling like I was being sold something: a narrative, an agenda, a party line dressed up as journalism.
I’m not going to pretend this is some big media house with a newsroom full of veteran editors. It’s just me. My name is Samar Raza, and I built this site out of frustration with how news about Pakistan gets covered. Either it’s drowned in politics, or it’s ignored by the international press entirely unless something goes wrong. So I decided to try doing it differently: cover Pakistan and the world honestly, without pretending to have all the answers, and without pretending neutrality means staying silent on things that matter.
“News · Views · Reforms” isn’t just a tagline I picked because it sounded good. Those are genuinely the three things I care about: telling you what happened, giving space to what people actually think about it, and not shying away from the harder conversation about what needs to change.
What this isn’t
This isn’t funded by a political party. I’m not chasing outrage clicks with headlines that say one thing and articles that say another. I’m not going to pretend every story has two equally valid “sides” when one side is just wrong.
What this is
A work in progress, honestly. I’m building this site story by story, trying to get it right more often than I get it wrong, and correcting myself openly when I don’t. If you catch an error, tell me. I’d genuinely rather know.
I cover Pakistani politics and governance, international news that affects Pakistan, opinion pieces from people who actually have something to say, and the policy and reform conversations that most outlets treat as too boring to bother with.
Why this matters to me
Pakistan has real problems, and pretending otherwise doesn’t help anyone. But it also has people doing real work, real progress happening in places nobody’s looking, and a public that deserves better information than what usually reaches them. That’s the gap I’m trying to fill here, imperfectly, one article at a time.
If that resonates with you, stick around. And if you’ve got a story, a tip, or even just a disagreement with something I published, reach out. I read everything.
